The colder than usual temperatures have made walking outdoors an unwise choice for several weeks. This, in turn, led to silence on the blog because the photographs I share here are primarily images captured while walking. I wanted to resume blogging and decided to capture and share images of sunlight and sunlit things visible from indoors.

I noticed it on the return leg of my walk.

And the word, “fastened” floated in.

Words of a hymn, “We have an anchor,” learned in childhood, followed.

We have an anchor that keeps the soul

steadfast and sure while the billows roll;

fastened to the Rock which cannot move,

grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love!

And I think now of the questions posed in the first verse,

Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
when the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,
will your anchor drift, or firm remain?

Umm. Something to think about.
